Why members come back

A credential ledger, not an event app

Members of professional bodies carry a recurring obligation to earn and evidence credits. That obligation — not networking, not the agenda — is the only thing that reliably brings a member back when there is no conference on.

So WavesPath puts the ledger at the centre and feeds it from everything else. That is the difference between software used three days a year and software used every month.

The platform

Four pillars. One record of every member.

Each is useful on its own, and each feeds the others. A delegate scanned into a session on Tuesday is a credit on a transcript by Wednesday and a renewal reminder eleven months later.

01

The association, running itself between events

Every association loses money to the same two things: renewals nobody chased and a directory nobody updated. Both are administration, and administration is what software is for.

Automated dues & renewals
Set recurring billing cycles once. Renewal nudges go out on schedule, and payment is collected through regional processing that works where your members actually bank.
Dynamic directory & profiles
Member tiers, CPD progress, payment history and access permissions on one record — so the answer to “is this member in good standing?” is a glance, not an afternoon.
Self-service member portal
Members update their own profiles, download their own invoices, reach members-only resources and watch their own credentials tick up. The secretariat stops being a helpdesk.

02

One engine from call-for-papers to closing plenary

The conference is the year’s biggest operation and usually its most manual. Abstracts arrive by email, versions get lost, and somebody rebuilds the agenda by hand at midnight.

Abstract & asset pipeline
Speakers submit through a link. Reviews run blind across multiple rounds, revisions are tracked against the original, and approved slides sync straight onto the agenda they belong to.
Check-in & on-site hardware
Badging kiosks, check-in tablets and live room screens run off the same data as the agenda — so a delegate scanned at the door is a delegate credited with the session.
Live engagement
Q&A with a moderator queue, real-time polling, sponsor rotation on the room screens, and secure digital voting when the AGM is called to order.
03

The paperwork that proves a profession

A certificate emailed as a PDF proves nothing and can be edited in a browser. A credential worth carrying is one a registrar can check without ringing you.

Digital verification
Certificates and membership badges are issued automatically on payment or completion, each with a number anyone can verify on a public page. Nothing to sign, nothing to post.
Governance & ballots
Board elections and policy votes run inside the member portal, with eligibility checked against standing, quorum tracked live, and a result nobody has to take on trust.
Compliance & CPD tracking
Credits land on the member’s profile as they are earned — from a session scanned at the door or a course finished at home — and roll up into the transcript licensing asks for.

The conference stops being three days a year

You already commissioned the content. You paid for the room, the speakers and the recording. Most associations then let it expire on a hard drive.

The CPD learning vault
Presentations and research papers become interactive, accredited courses — the same material, earning credits and revenue for the eleven months nobody is in a ballroom.
Co-produced media
Our studio team records on site, then edits, packages and publishes premium media on your behalf. You own the catalogue; it earns after everyone has gone home.
Tiered resource access
Policy templates, industry reports and the recorded archive sit behind membership tiers, so the reason to upgrade is something a member can see.

Hardware & on-site services

We turn up as well

Software does not print a badge or point a camera. These come out of the same revenue share, so there is no capital purchase for equipment the association uses once a year.

Kiosk & tablet rental kits

Pre-configured registration tablets, badge printers and digital signage kiosks, arriving set up and paired to your event.

Replaces paper lists and long queues without the association buying hardware it uses once a year.

Content production studio

On-site video recording and podcast setups, then post-event editing that turns sessions into course modules.

Converts live moments into long-term digital assets you can accredit and sell.

Managed event staffing

Technical concierges running the A/V slide desk, the registration desk and the stage screens for the duration.

Takes the operational stress off volunteer boards and small secretariats on the day it matters most.

How it is paid for

We only earn when the association does

No licence fee, no setup fee and no per-seat cost. WavesPath takes a share of what the platform brings in — registrations, dues collected, courses sold — which means the association is never paying for a quiet year.

Zero upfront

Nothing to licence, nothing to install and no hardware to buy before the first event runs.

Revenue share

One agreed share across registrations, dues and course sales, settled before anything is switched on.

Aligned incentives

Every feature we build has to make the association money, or it does not make us any either.

Bring us your next conference

We will walk your board through the platform against your own agenda, your own membership tiers and your own CPD cycle. It takes about forty minutes.
