Let us create an event. In the menu, choose Manage events. This board shows your next event at the top, with how ready it is, and figures for delegates, ticket sales and check-ins this year. Below are all your events, which you can filter by upcoming, live, drafts and past.
To start a new one, press New event.
Give it a name, choose the first and last day, type the venue, and check the venue time zone. Every session time is read in that time zone, so it matters if your event is overseas. Then press Create.
Your new event starts as a draft, so nobody can see it or buy a ticket yet. Find it under Drafts and press Open.
This is the event's Overview. Across the top are the event's sections: Overview, Plan, Programme, Attendees and On the day. The Overview holds your delegate page link and QR code, and your registration link and website embed, ready to share once tickets are on sale.
Open Plan, then Setup. The bar at the top shows what is done and what is left. Under Event details you can change the title, dates, venue and time zone, and upload a flyer. The flyer is used on your events list, the registration page and your newsletters.
If your event has more than one room, add them under Rooms. Type a name like Main Hall, add the number of seats, and press Add room. An event in a single room does not need any.
Tracks are optional themes running through the programme, like Leadership or Employment Law. Add a name, a short description and a colour, then press Add track. Finally, the lifecycle. Leave it on Draft while you build, move it to Scheduled when you are ready to publish, and to Live on the day itself. In the next video, we will build the programme and manage the event.
